... to everyone who has sent kind thoughts. She sounded a lot better this afternoon, and I think everything's going to be OK.
I'm not going to read much into the significance (or insignificance) of the New Year's Day thing, but this whole thing has really heightened my awareness of the preciousness of our lives and our relationships.

snarkout_rat wrote something that got me thinking about the patterns our lives take, and the ways we live. I'm gonna do me some thinkin' on that.
Then again, maybe too much thinkin' is the problem.
