Interesting perspective, thanks! I hadn't considered that the animals in general might have felt that resentment (but only one of them knew how to do anything about it). But it makes sense -- there they were, romping around their new home without any constraints, and then this new creature arrives and the Creator says that one's in charge, and is specifically to *subdue* the earth...
