Thanksgiving

I didn't really "do Thanksgiving" this year, except for a slice of pumpkin pie at the coffee house on Trinity. Spent the weekend packing and throwing stuff out. But you know, sometims it's cool to discover what you have, what you want to keep, and what you want to let go of.

Moving In

So now I'm moved into my new digs. Boxes all over, and the new, smaller place is barely big enough to hold all the stuff I've accumulated over the years, and inherited from my family. But hey, it's all good.

I like the inherited stuff, especially the old family papers - documents, photographs, memoirs. I like that thread of permanence. So little is permanent these days, it's nice to remember that you have a place in the scheme of things.
