DST Rant

I am officially adding myself to the list of anti-daylight-saving-time wingnuts.

Here's one more peeve to add to the list of grievances against DST in the US:

'In 2008, daylight saving time in the United States began on Sunday, March 9, 2008, and will end on November 2, 2008.'

Now, stay with me here. From March 9 to November 2, that's almost eight months. That means we're on "Standard Time" for less than half the year. SO WHAT THE FUCK DO WE CALL IT STANDARD TIME FOR?
