For some reason, 'lap swimmer' conjured up completely the wrong image.

I'm working in the company IT shop now. Last week at work, an employee put in a request for a "power chord". Not clear if they wanted an AC chord, or an AC/DC chord.

I turned 49 a couple of weeks ago. As the years advance, things begin to change. My mind wanders. I find I'm more prone to athlete's foot. I also find that those rub-on deodorants aren't working well on me anymore; I've gone back to the aerosol.
