The mid-term exams are behind me and I feel like school is going to be getting easier from here on. I was starting to feel discouraged about my Modern Physics and Linear Algebra classes because I didn't feel I understood what to expect from the class, or what was expected from me. But after the exams, I feel like I've got a better idea of what I need to study and how I need to study it.

The US History course is great. At the beginning I wasn't sure if I'd like this prof but she is really good. She's knowledgeable and focused, and she goes in there to teach history. (Unlike my Physics prof, who just gets up there and sort of rambles for two hours.)

Acting class is always my favorite. We've been doing scenes from the 'Breaking Bad' pilot. There's a lot of camaraderie in the class and a number of us meet for coffee after school.

Yesterday was also 'Intel Day' at PSU, and Intel Corp had a number of recruiters stationed in the lobby of the Engineering building taking resumes. I took my turn in line, and explained that my college education is very much a work in progress, but I have a strong work history in the admin field.

In my downtime, I've been dabbling in 'World of Warcraft' (just started about a week ago) and watching RWBY. The show is great and the production diary is fun to watch. I like the combination of creativity and technology that goes into making the show. Go check it out -

I realized one reason why I was out of sorts last Sunday / Monday was the time change. I am a morning person and a creature of habit, and staying in bed for an extra hour in the morning isn't the treat for me that it is for most people. When I get on a schedule I like to stay on it.

That includes doing my morning business. I like to get up at 5, and have my bravo-mike promptly at 6. (I'm, well, anal about that.) So when the clock falls back, I can lie in bed until the new-and-improved five o'clock, but my body thinks it's six, and wonders why I haven't turned on the lights and had my coffee already. I'm still snoozing when I should be pooping.

So I've compromised and split the difference, setting my alarm back to 4:30, which seems to be working. Once I'm back to my regular schedule - with the emphasis on "regular" - I can think a lot more clearly.
