1. Asher is actually my regular, real-life name. It's the Hebrew name I took when I converted (many, many moons ago) and subsequently took as my legal name. Oh, and I don't tell people this very often, but I like it because it suggests the ancient goddess "Asherah". (See "The Red Tent" Anita Diamant.) 63 is, you guessed it, my birth year on the civil calendar.
2. "Translinear Light" is the title of the recent album by Alice Coltrane (John's widow, and a very talented keyboardist). I love the music and I love the sound of the phrase.
3. Still trying to come up with a subtitle.
4. See 2 and 3. Haven't really thought about a separate title for my friends page.
5. This is the avatar I use at the Free Iran forum; had to trim it a bit to get it within the 100 pixel limit. I'm a technical moron, so I'm not very good about creating avatars and stuff. I do have two more saved - one of them actually looks like me! - and will roll them out one of these days. (Found them using the highly sophisticated method of googling "avatars".)
