asher553So, as long as I'm getting caught up on the LiveJournalage, here's the latest.
I'm getting settled in with G and bringing the last of my things out of storage this weekend. Moving stuff from downstairs to upstairs, from garage to downstairs, from storage locker to garage, lather, rinse, repeat ...
This coming year I am focusing on a career move out of office services and into IT. I'm now reviewing for the A+ exams and teaching myself C++.
Sophie is an absolute total sweetheart and is now walking like crazy.
TNG, who is a long way from anything with an A+ on it, is having difficulties in middle school (he goes to Presidio) but fortunately we have a good rapport so he seems to feel comfortable talking with me about stuff. I don't scold him unless I absolutely have to, but usually offer him gentle encouragement and take time going over his math homework with him. He clearly wants to get good grades but he says he's having trouble concentrating. (Hmmm, reminds me of someone I used to know ...) I just tell him he should try to get good grades because his life will be easier if he does.
Lots more to write, but that'll have to do for now.
