My assignment at the healthcare company call center ended Friday before last, after a week with some nice overtime including a 17-hour shift on Halloween. So I've been "between jobs" for the past week, which is naturally somewhat stressful, but I've got a lot of applications in the works and one interview scheduled for today. Plus I'm bringing in a few dollars driving deliveries, and I may be about to get some part-time work doing home care for elders.

Had coffee yesterday with a friend from the local political community, it was nice to get out and have some companionship and conversation about subjects of mutual interest.

Weather in Portland looks to be moderate and mixed this week, with temperatures around 50F and rain predicted off-and-on.
