Bus doors.

asher553The bus home was one of the newer models - 40xx according to the vehicle number - and apparently included an upgraded (or updated, at any rate) door actuator. All of the exit doors have the same message - TOUCH HERE TO OPEN DOOR - but in reality, "touch" means "apply light to moderate pressure" for most of the buses. You have to push a bit. On the new bus, however, "touch" really means just touch, and if you apply pressure the door will obstinately refuse to open.
Anyway. By the time I had to deal with those bus doors, I had already formulated my plan for the evening, and it was simple: cook up some stir-fry veggies, and have a couple of beers. I am happy to report that I've completed the first step of that plan, and am diligently working on the second.
