Adventures in Daf Yomi

I've started following along with the Daf Yomi - the daily page of Talmud study that's encouraged by rabbis. I'm reading Tractate Shabbat 60-64 (today it's 64), covering things men and women are and are not allowed to wear outside on the Sabbath. According to the Talmud, a woman may wear spiked boots, a combat helmet, and a rifle with a bayonet, but not a flak jacket; a man may wear bracelets, wigs, a skirt, a bra (if it is not padded), and a tampon (but only in his mouth; in the ear, it's forbidden).
OK, I made up the part about the bracelets. I wasn't cut out to be a rabbi.
