I worked our booth at the County Fair today. As always, we got a very positive response from the public. (Across the hall, the other side had their booth with with a couple of very forlorn-looking volunteers and a Biden-Harris poster - which, we realized, they are going to have to change now.) Towards the end of my shift, we had a visit from a woman I know from the Chabad shul; she had just returned from a trip to Israel and did a double-take when she recognized me at the booth. We talked for a few minutes, and she's interested in getting involved.

I've finally gotten into a solid routine of daily running - 20 minutes a day is the goal, plus five minutes of cardio on the elliptical in the gym. I am feeling much better since I committed to this routine this month.

My lab tests from the VA Clinic came back and it looks like all my tests are good - no abnormalities or issues.

I'd been wanting to re-read Harry Potter for a while, and I finally splurged and got the full box set - British edition, with 'Philosopher's Stone'. I'm super excited to start the second book, 'Chamber of Secrets'.

But before I had a chance to tackle Harry, another book arrived that I was very excited about, and I ended up reading it cover-to-cover over Shabbat. It is 'Hannah's Children' by Catherine Pakaluk - stories of mothers who have been bucking the trend by raising large families.

And now I gotta get some rest and it's back to work tomorrow!
