I haven't been spending as much time on LJ because I have decided it's not healthy to spend so much time in front of a computer reading LiveJournal.
It's MUCH healthier to spend a lot of time in front of a computer playing flight simulation games.
Yeah, that's it.
The disk for the fully-featured version of the Project Mercury simulator arrived Monday. Now I can go orbital! Wheeeee! But then I had to get X-Plane, Microsoft Flight Simultor X, Liftoff, and (O be still my heart) Orbiter. Now I can learn to fly everything from a Cessna to a Space Shuttle. W00t!
Life? What's that?
In other news ... I went out for dinner at the Indian restaurant down the road and eavesdropped on the three musicians sitting at the next table. One of them was talking about music schools, and how some places consider it a really big deal that a trumpeter should be able to play Haydn's Concerto on a B-flat trumpet. This guy took the opposite philosophy, though, and asked rhetorically, "Do you want me to play it on a B-flat trumpet, or do you want me to play it well?"
