In other news... My ride to downtown this morning, via the Muni underground, was actually a little quicker than usual due to a service disruption: there was an announcement of unspecified "police activity" at the Powell station, with the station closed and trains bypassing its stop. Turned out some fool had left a gray, shoe box-size device with a blinking light and wire near a stop at the intersection of Eddy and Cyril Magnin streets at 7:20 a.m.
No word on whether the culprit was a peeved patron of the Michelle Shocked show at Yoshi's last night.
